Referring to the latest figures of voters registration from SPR there are about 100 000 new voters registered in the last quarter of 2009. So about 33 000 new voters are registered /month. Since there are 4 300 000 unregistered voters nation wide it will take (4300 000/ 100 000=) /4= 10.7 years+ to register all voters. So work harder -all the parties involved, to enable universal suffrage to be realised in Malaysia! Another look at the figures; 33 000 / 15 states/territories = 2 200 voters /state/month. That does seems incredibly slow-and can be improved if there is a converted effort to try to register the voters-and removed all the reasons/excuse of inconvenience for voters registration.
