Due to unresolved disagreements there are potential sources of conflicts over whether there will be parties’ information counters, party vehicles for ferrying voters, party members wearing party logos and colours at the polling centres or outside the 50m. However the observation of the end of campaigning at 12.00mid night at PKR’s final ceramah was promising for a peaceful start to today’s polling. Similarly the PKR youth reportedly said they will not stop buses leaving Penanti -instead they would inform police. SPR’s cheif has said they don’t see any basis to stop buses leaving Penanti-though they could be ferrying voters out of the constituency to cause a voters’ boycott of the polling today. There was a reverse role yesterday over the issue: PKR is threatening (not really carrying out) to lodge police report on Khairy’s statement to call upon voters to boycott the polling-exactly the reverse to the roles plyed by UMNO over Pakatan’s boycott of the Batu Talam’s poll in 2007; Where is consistency in this issue by all parties concerned?
