Final details of the Mafrel-NR High Tea:
Apologies from the organisers that the details of the function will be changed again to;
Date : Feb 28th (This Saturday)
Venue: 62 Weld Quay, Penang island
Background: Malaysian society is at a cross road again: Can we move forward to a more democratic society-or are we going to be stucked in a self-satisfied and self-denial condition? The decision is in our hand if the citizens choose to play an active role to determine the future direction of the country. The coming 2 by-elections will test our observers’ preparedness to perform our non-partisan duty to ensure free and fair elections. Please put aside all appointments to come to this preparation meeting. Despite the distance of the 2 constituencies let’s prove that we can do a good job putting the election operations under the closest possible scrutnies and make the process as transparent as possible.
3.00pm : Opening & Reports of election observation trips to Bangladesh, Kuala Terengganu-with photos & videos(Ong BK);
3.40pm: Report on KL Mafrel meeting(Jamaluddin);
4.00pm : discussion on preparation for 2 by-elections -Bkt Selambau & Bkt Gantang (With reps from Kedah & Perak)

Hope all members of Mafrel and volunteers can confirm their attendance as there will be catering for the function.
Looking forward to seeing you all!
