Day 9: What a day it was for us here at Mafrel in Permatang Pauh with visitors, friends and associates from overseas and out of town dropping by for pix and to say ‘hello’. We had the pleasure of the company of renown blogger Susane Loone, Dutch correspondent Elske Schouten of NRC Handelsblad and a group from Japs Media NHK Nippon Hoso Kyokai headed by Mori Kenichi their Bureau Chief who were on hand to videotape our ‘bloggers discussion on Permatang Pauh by-election’. Cool leh!
Elske Schouten was at quite a loss in town so we managed to get someone from Mafrel to help her get to PKR and BN Operation Centres, ceramahs and also to act as interpreter.
In between training session, educating and briefing our volunteers, we took on a few projects on the ’ground zero’ like hunting down the mischevious with pictures that spoke a thousand words. We discovered fake posters – “Jalan ke Putrajaya” purportedly by PKR, which they claimed were attempts to smear and mess up Pakatan Rakyat. Even the Special Branch guy, …the ’hunter’ got huntered! Oh, it was so hilarious, a rude shock on his face when he least expected it, Mafrel cameras and videos were turned and started [edited] shooting at him!

Then we went ‘undercover’ and ‘caught’ Dr Ng Yen Yen, Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development campaigning and distributing rm200 to each senior Permatang Pauh voters, under pretext of her ministry’s project of helping the poor and aged.
